What you will need:
This is seriously the easiest, quickest way to pamper yourself without even having to leave your house! This mask is anti inflammatory, moisturizing, and rich in antioxidants also .. did I mention its SUPER EASY?!
You'll want to start with 1-2 tablespoons of uncooked oatmeal.
You can leave the oatmeal large but I recommend blending it into a fine powder.
The oatmeal will not only work as an exfoliant, but it also assists with your skin retaining moisture which will give you that dewy finish!
You'll add 1 tablespoon of honey
The honey is where your moisture will be coming from. If you have irritated skin, you'll notice calming due to the anti inflammatory properties in honey. It will also aid in preventing skin aging & is rich in antioxidants.
Last but not least, a few drops of lemon juice
Lemon contains antibacterial and anti-fungal properties to fight off acne and blackheads. Lemon juice’s citric acid can help fade dark spots and acne scars.
Mix all of the ingredients in a bowl and apply paste to the face. I will not lie to you .. the consistency of oats is not my favorite to work with in terms of face masks but the benefits are so good that I continue to use this recipe to this day!
I typically use a brush to apply the paste after I've washed my face using my Universal Facewash. I leave the mask on for about 10-15 minutes then I remove with cold water. I follow up with the Perfect Toner and finish off the routine with the Serum.
As I mentioned before, there are other ingredients that could be added to make this facemask more beneficial to your skin. If you do decide to try this mask at home, send us photos! We love seeing you guys Take Care of yourselves!
